Surely it depends what you do? Not bad if people in your job normally earn NMW but not great if you're a graduate.

Plus how comfortable you are depends on your situation. If you're paying rent and have a long commute it's likely to feel tight but if you own your home outright and walk to work, you might feel fairly well off.
