UC -housing costs removed, help please

We claim UC top up as a couple.
We rented house from private landlord since 2019, 4 people on tenancy agreement and bills (us and another couple). Rent £1500 , they pay £750, we pay £750 too.
However, this couple moved out 9th of April because of family emergency, they left country.
We pay rent 30th every month for month ahead.
They paid last time 30th March (for April).
Landlord gave us new contract immediately.
So today I paid full rent for landlord £1500.
However, I'm struggling to proove it for UC because Council didn't update our Council Tax Bill and there are still 4 names on it (I reported changes and sent them new contract 9th April too).
I uploaded new contract, bank transfer receipt from payment to landlord, my bank statement for UC.
THEY DECLINED IT because incorrect CT bill with 4 names and removed my housing costs. So when I log in to UC it says I don't have any housing costs! My assessment period for this month finishes 2nd May.
Any help how to deal with situation? Would they do backdated payment for rent? As I reported everything 9th of April and they replied just today....
Thank you for reading....

Redeclare your housing and upload your proof again, send a journal to explain, send the journal under ‘payment’. Hopefully the case manager will send a journal message to your local job centre to action. You could also try ringing the Service Centre once you have redeclared and ask for a message to be sent over to the job centre.

Thank you very much for your message! I just don't understand how it will work with our Job Centre? Are they dealing with changes?
Never had this type of problem, wondering if they'll do backdated payment (my assessment period ends 2nd May).I don't think so ...

As long as you update your journal tonight or tomorrow it's within your current assessment period.
Upload everything again. Email the council and request an urgent response acknowledging the change of tenants, have you sent council a copy of the agreement too? It's worth calling the council tomorrow as well as they can implement the change over the phone provided they can see a copy of the revised tenancy agreement. Once you've done that, again update your journal, request immediate escalation to senior manager as situation causing you serious distress and it's impacting on your mental health.
If you can also go into the Jobcentre do but some don't always agree to see people even if it's an urgent problem. Also call UC and repeat everything again. It's a case of having to escalate repeatedly unfortunately, they will have to backdate the correction as they've been notified in time but no one can say if it will be next month or after. I wish you all the best with it. Also contact your local Citizens Advice as they can directly advise you and contact DWP with you if needed.

Sometimes the case manager can verify the housing, depends on the set up of your local job centre. They should be able to back date but you may need to request this. Definitely redeclare and up load the proof, send a message and also call, that way you’ve done your part agin and hopefully they will relook at this and verify. Also if you have any other utility bills in your name upload them as well

Thank you very much. I sent email the same day, 9th April to Council with Tenancy agreement copy. It's almost a month...They just sent an automated message "we received your email...". I checked our CT account online too, still 4 names...
