I'm wondering how you're finding it at the moment. Well, I mean, obviously it's punishingly expensive but i wondered it any seasoned users might recognise the cycle and be reassured that it ek return back to better numbers!

I was but switched to Cosy - have you got the unofficial Octopus comparison app? I can't imagine Agile is the most cost effective tariff so anyone at the moment..

pinkroses79 · 20/01/2025 21:23

I’m on the fixed tariff, no exit fees or anything. Been on it for about 3 months now.

Scatterbugg · 20/01/2025 21:25

I'm an Agile-r, it's supposed to be stormy from Friday so if you can ride out these few days it should be ok.
Despite the huge peak prices some days I'm still paying lots less than the price cap overall.
It's definitely not for everyone though - I WFH so can time my washing, charging etc.

I am

I have a battery so am charging at the cheapest slots I can to get me through

It is definitely hairy at the moment and without the solar and battery I wouldn't be currently on the tarriff. Last year was much cheaper. Need some wind

Did you used to be agile?

I'd forgotten about storms driving the price down! Thanks for the reminder, I won't watch my washing pile up with the same rising anxiety now!

There's also some unplanned outages on the nuclear as well as little sun, no wind. All driving the price up.

Wow, that's a whole world I never thought would exist online! Do you check it often?

I've probably got a bit too into Agile predictions!

Octopus Agile Predictor is worth following on Bluesky (they are also on X but I've come off). A very helpful person that works it all out before Octopus do so can plan a bit more.

ThinkingThroughOptions · 22/01/2025 00:25

Oh @Scatterbugg, you are my people!!!

Thank you for this. Even if it's not 100%, which of course it isn't (not claims to be), it's a great hope that things will improve rather than blindly lurching from one day to the next, holding my breath!

It's now added to my favourites!

@ThinkingThroughOptions great! Looks like we're back to an average day tomorrow then a named storm coming in over the weekend should get the turbines spinning

ThinkingThroughOptions · 22/01/2025 13:02

I'm going to be on a car charging, washing and drying frenzy all weekend! 🤣
