Do you mean the warm home discount? If so I have. They did change criteria a few years ago and not everyone is entitled to it.
It depends on your electricity provider some years I've not received it till March. EDF is who I'm with if that's relevant to you.

Yes. With Octopus.

I am on UC and get no help with fuel costs at all.

Yes we got the warm house discount of £150 and we are on UC. We do have an old house and single lane windows and central heating only in certain areas.

Depends on your house. If you have newer builds type house that is warmer then you don't get the help.

My house was built in 1890. Never had anything about getting a discount on fuel costs.

You could be entitled then. Maybe check on the website? You might be? We got a letter (England). Utility Warehouse just take it off our bill in November.

We used to get it via British Gas every year and it was a great help. However, rules changed a while ago and even though we are on UC (dh severely disabled and I'm his full time carer) we are no longer eligible for it due to the age of our house (10 years old).

There's sometimes money available for people on certain benefits when the temperature is below a certain level and as its been very cold this week perhaps that's what the OP is referring to.

But in general, moneysavingexpert.com is a good resource for finding out what help is available.

With Utilita and they put half on my meters this week… pretty old house with no major fuel saving adaptations! Second half will be added in January. Strange because on paper I wouldn’t be entitled to it this year (huge earning increase).
