Anyone on a fixed or flexible tariff with Octopus. I'm on a fixed rate but monthly payments have risen from £110 to £136. However my forecast for October will reduce to 114 on fixed and 119 on flexible . I watch Martin Lewis but it's so confusing!

Fixed with Octopus, Payment going up, but I'm OK with that. I need to do some calculations based on my annual usage and predicted rates.

Yes I'm with octopus. It will be a little bit more expensive on the fixed tariff but it's predicted that the variable tariff will go up so you will be better off on the fixed tariff if that happens. It's just for now that the flexible one is cheaper. I would fix if I were you.

But watch what you use in terms of gas and electric without being too uncomfortable - thats the biggest way to save.

Do you try to do this?

Yes I'm very careful with usage.
