I joined Checkoutsmart, and it wants me to enter a barcode but none of my Morrisons receipts have one. Which cashback sites do you all use, why do morrisons not have barcodes on them?

It’s the barcode from the packaging of the item you’re claiming for - eg juice carton.

dawngreen · 02/07/2024 22:00

Really that's going to take a bit of time for each item? I looked at the the 20 receipts a day to try for the £10 pound cashback.

I use receipt scanning apps: shoppix, storwards and zipzero.

If you want to scan receipts, use the apps suggested by PP. each receipt gets a few pennies and it eventually adds up. Checkoutsmart is more about getting money off specific things or freebies; you buy the on offer products and then get the money back as cash back.
The £10 a day is a competition - one person wins each day and if you scan in 20 receipts you get 20 entries but I expect your chances of winning would still be miniscule. To enter that you need to chose “add from list” rather than “scan barcode” and just add that offer.

Thank you for the replies. I am single again, and on a budget so unless its some thing I always buy. Its going to be slow, but like you say it adds up over time. I also belong to several product test site. Recently I got 24 packs of dog food for free, and I am getting another mixed box of goodies coming. Any thing I don't like I take to my local food pantry. The product site is tryit.com if any one is interested.

I’m not sure if you do already but cashback sites like TopCashback and Quidco make a big difference in our house on any online spending.
I have referral codes for both
https://www.topcashback.co.uk/ref/amandafm
after you earn £10 cashback you’ll get a £15 bonus and
£15 back here once you’ve earned £5.
https://app.quidco.com/raf/yWuC
I check both of these before any online spending including groceries and have earned over £2500 cashback over the years.

Also have a referral to HSBC banking app zing for an easy free £20. Click the link, create an account, spend £5 on your digital card (I bought myself an Amazon gift voucher) and you’ll get £20 within 30 days. You can also refer on to earn up to £400. Easy free money.
You’re invited to join Zing – the worry-free international money app – and get £20. Eligible for 18+ UK Residents only. T&Cs apply. zing.me/referrals?referralCode=NjM3NDVkZjEtNzYzZi0zZDc0LWEzYjQtNjU2ZTZjYTQ5Mzg3

There is so much cashback to be made. Have you signed up to Quidco too? Also check out the hsbc zing offer I’ve posted as it’s an easy way to make £20 - £5 minutes to open the account and spend £5 to get £20 plus opportunity to refer on.

Amandafm · 05/08/2024 14:06

I also have three referral spaces for a free £50 for opening a Monzo business account if anyone is interested? Don’t need to have an actual business. You can’t have a Monzo personal account already though.
