Should I not pay for the delivery pass

I put my money into various “pots” in my bank account and do online transfers into my current account when I need to spend something.
an Asda delivery pass is £6.50 and I get 2 deliveries a month. I have had notification that they couldn’t take payment for it (as my current account balance is £0).
should I just wait until I need to go shopping again in order to renew it and do this all the time as I only get two deliveries a month or will they catch on and penalise me for that?

You'll only know if you try! That's steep for a delivery pass though. The Tesco one is £6.99 for as many deliveries as you want. Substitutions are a lot better too.

You can get deliveries from Asda for £1.50 (normally late evening although I paid £1.50 for mine today which came between 5pm and 6pm.

If you're only ordering twice a month, it's probably worth ditching the delivery pass.
