Hello
Can anyone recommended a budgeting/spending tracker? I need something simpler than YNAB.
And preferably free or cheap!

MoneyHub? It's free for the first 6 months then £14.99 pa or £1.49 a month.

But it is a tracking app, that is it lets you look retrospectively at what you have spent, rather than a budgeting app, which lets you look to the future to plan what you will spend.

They do two different things. YNAB is a budgeting app. I use MoneyHub and YNAB, but will probably drop MoneyHub once the free 6 months is up because I find the budgeting functionality in YNAB more useful. However, the free 6 months with MoneyHub is useful to get a good idea of how it works and the platform supports links to a decent range of UK banks.

I've just downloaded Financielle and really impressed

Why do you say that YNAB is too complicated?

I've only been using it for 5/6 months and it is saving me an absolute fortune - and I'm not stressed anymore because I know that I have everything covered.

I also found their help chat really useful.

I also love YNAB. It can seem complicated at first, but I'd suggest doing the workshops, online tutorials and the Help function and honestly, it's revolutionary!

Personally just use a spreadsheet (free M365) can design it to exactly what I need, I've really developed it over the years, would be lost without it.
