I have a son who is 15 and a 1 month old baby

I added my little one onto my existing claim last week and when checking my payments it turns out not only have they not paid me for her bur also underpaid me for my son.

Is this normal for new claims? I am confused

I understand why the baby would be a new claim but why is the 15yo?

I can claim for my son until he is 16? But the claim was already going for him.
I had to add my daughter onto it

Could it be part payment for one child? Did you get the CB on the usual dates?

1daughterand3sons · 14/04/2024 21:28

It could be a part payment. When I added my last child I received a payment a few days before my normal payment. It's a back payment from the day baby was born. Next payment should be for both kids.

Well it's only £99 which wouldn't be enough even for one child
I haven't heard anything more since adding My 2nd to the claim.

The payment date here is early

2 weeks at £24 from before 5 April and 2 weeks at £25.60 from after 6 April =£99.20? Haven't paid you anything for your baby yet.

That sounds correct for one child. If you only submitted the new claim for baby a week ago they probably haven’t processed it yet. They do backdate it usually.

@Overthebow thankyou for that.
I forgot the rise in payments so that makes sense.
