Just that really. The one we have is faulty but ok for a few weeks.

John Lewis is likely to be more expensive than the likes of Currys, even in a sale, because they sell more expensive brands. Have you looked at AO?

Nannyfannybanny · 02/03/2024 16:47

They often have deals. We buy a lot of things from them, like our last washing machine because it had a 5 years guarantee. Have a look at the BOOTS site as well. Got a dishwasher from them.

I agree with @zzpleb John Lewis is expensive, AO is much better but sometimes if you are a new customer with Very - you can get an extra discount for being a new customer. So look around and if you find a brand you particularly like then you search just for that and see who offers the best deal then not forgetting to go through Topcashback first - to get even more back!!

We're probably only interested in buying a Bosch dishwasher as almost all of our appliances are Bosch and the old Bosch dishwasher lasted 18 years.

A Bosch dishwasher will nornall be cheaper at somewhere like AO or Curry's anytime, and, there will likely be some money off around the Easter bank holidays. We got ours from Amazon.

When buying a new dishwasher, washing machine etc I go to the Bosch website, decide which model I want, then Google it and check which shop has it cheaper and then look for discounts for that shop/site. Currys for example normally have a money off voucher especially around bank holidays.

Goforitagain · 02/03/2024 17:11

AO used to be cheap sometimes with free delivery but now you have to pay to join some AO club to get some discounts and delivery as there is member price and non member price. This is ok if you are buying a few things but usually people only buy one thing when the old one breaks. I gave it a miss when I wanted to buy something because of this.

The next John Lewis sale will be June.

Bromptotoo · 02/03/2024 17:25

We bought a Bosch dishwasher a year or so ago from AO.

Does what it says on the tin but I wish I had more light shone on what different models at very similar prices offer in terms of facilities. This one has no rinse/hold mode and, while it's said to have a very fancy drying mechanism, it's not as good as the old Zanussi for actually finishing with dry cups etc.

Boots Kitchen Appliances is run by AO and you get the Boots Advantage points so might be worth looking at.

There are a couple reduced on JL

Ironically,we just bought a new microwave, used Currys although we don't like them (had a microwave and TV from there in the past, both went wrong within the years warranty, and they were difficult to say the least. Collected it Friday,it's was really loud,s reaching and smelling of burning. it was returned Saturday!!
