That's what I got to on a quick totting up.
But the meat could be a lot more depending on where you shop and choices. I got to about £70 for the meat.

The meat alone could easily have cost you £60, so I'll go with around £130 in total.

You're all wrong! It's £76 approx from ASDA via the app.

(if you have an ASDA account plug these things in and the prices will show)

Key to note though -

  1. Veggies all frozen
  2. Big items like salmon from “just essentials” range.
  3. Same for fruit -”just essentials” apples, garden gang bananas, easy peelers etc
  4. Same for eggs/chicken

The cost would automatically go up if

  1. If red meats were involved (overland above some sausages I mean)
  2. If One went for free range/higher welfare meats or poultry
  3. Non “just essentials” even if not expensive brands
  4. If there was any alcohol involved
  5. If cupboards needed stocking for eg spices/grains etc etc

And yep stock up day!

Some screen grabs of what I mean - going for organic/higher welfare/finer versions of these exact things even from ASDA would obviously be pricier. So whole chicken as cheap as £3.96 does absolutely sacrifice lots of things - we all know that - but the cost is what it is.

Likewise you see the just essentials prices on the fruit and veg

I was about to guess £75 then saw your update. Pretty chuffed with myself, I’m usually wrong!

Ah I was also going to guess v close, £76.50 😄and then I saw all the first guesses and thought "Oops", but I'm glad I got it close! We shop online at Tesco usually, so I'm very used to sticking to a list and memorising prices, and it would be very very similar price wise if I did that shop.
