Electricity debt

Hi,

My sister has just switched from on energy supplier to another, she has massive outstanding debt with the previous supplier, she was aware it would carrier over but they have put her debt onto the prepayment meter, it says it's friendly credit hours since it's the weekend, but will she be off supply from midnight until she pays that debt? With precious energy supplier Scottish power, they billed her from borrowing and she was paying it back weekly and that was separate from the actual pre payment meter so you wouldn't see this balance on there. Now she switched to utilia and all of that debt is on the smart meter as a negative balance. Slightly worried about her as she has young children at home and she can't fish out £400 to pay straight away. She will be in touch with them I assume but would like to hear some advice now
