HI Everyone,
what are you all doing with unused perfumes and partially used perfumes, i have quite a few and am curious to know what everyone does with all the extras. I spend a small fortune when i started counting how much i spent on fragrance in the last year

I’ve never, ever had any unused perfumes. I just use them all as to me they’re an expensive luxury. I guess you could use them as a room spray if you’re not going to wear them anymore.

TheDutchHouse · 19/01/2024 08:00

Charity shop them ?

Welshgirl10 · 19/01/2024 08:03

Sell them on eBay- lots of people will buy them

Blueberrycreampie · 19/01/2024 08:03

Sell them on Vinted or EBay - no problem!

Cuppachuchu · 19/01/2024 08:03

Women's aid might like them, along with any unopened other toiletries.

idontlikealdi · 19/01/2024 08:39

Vinted

HappyAsASandboy · 19/01/2024 09:12

Do you want to get rid of them?

DuchessNope · 19/01/2024 09:13

You can’t sell part used perfumes on vinted but maybe eBay?

SiobhanSharpe · 19/01/2024 09:15

If you have any that are now discontinued, eBay is the place where collectors go. You can get very good prices. Check out 'sold items'.

Strongbeatsskinny · 19/01/2024 19:26

Perfume lasts an extremely long time if it’s kept out of sunlight in the boxes I wouldn’t sell it if you like it just use them up before purchasing more . I’ve got some that’s been brought as gifts still unopened from three years ago. I’m not selling them they’re ones I love . If Your not keen on them then sell them.

Iwillletthemkniw · 19/01/2024 19:27

I just rotate all of mine , have you gone off them? Tell us what they are and we might buy them from you! 😀

3WildOnes · 19/01/2024 19:29

I use all of my perfumes. Do you not like them anymore?

NeptunaOfTheMermaidBattleSquadron · 19/01/2024 19:29

I sold an unopened one on Ebay a few years ago. I priced it keenly and it sold by the end of the 7 days. Mostly I keep them and work my way through them slowly. It's a false economy to get rid of them all then buy a load of new ones because you don't have any and need some.

I wouldn't have thought anyone would want used ones though.

sunglassesonthetable · 19/01/2024 21:21

I've bought part used opened perfumes on Ebay and sold them.

RM2013 · 19/01/2024 21:46

I generally use mine up but I did accumulate a few bottles a while back that were part used and I sold them on eBay

jhy · 19/01/2024 21:49

I keep mine I've never had any go out of date, try hard not to buy new ones but a couple of new bottles do sneak in.
Usually when I haven't used a scent for a while, I'll randomly start to use it again until it runs out. I used to go through so much perfume but I don't really wear it anymore since WFH.

Littletinytarzanswingingfromanosehair · 19/01/2024 21:52

Store them out of light. Save them, trust me. So many are changing the Formulas all the time so any earlier editions will sell for a lot more in the future. My beloved Elie Saab le perfum has changed I'm 100% sure since 2013. And I'm convinced Libre intense isn't as good as last year's!

NoodleNuts · 19/01/2024 22:49

I'm another who never has any unused or partially used perfumes. I only buy ones I like and obviously because I like them, I wear them.

I also don't spend a fortune every year, when a bottle runs out I will buy another. In 2023 I think I spent around £60 on a new bottle of L'eau D'issey by Issey Miake. That'll last me a while, I wear cheap ass Next perfume for work.

PickledMuffin · 19/01/2024 22:52

i've sold mine on ebay. People will buy them as it's cheaper buying at the shop. especially if it's ones which you can no longer buy.

TheHateIsNotGood · 20/01/2024 19:10

For the truly crap ones - I tend to use them as any other 'room-perfuming' product - albeit in modicum and at a distance. the half decent ones can be used in a bath or as a 'spillage' to be cleaned on a hard floor.

I take pleasure in my various decent perfumes - moreso when I'm dressed for dirty work, looking unkempt and invisible, so at least I can wear some Dior; though I'd really rather have some No.5.

AdoraBell · 28/01/2024 22:34

I just use my perfumes. If you don’t want some you can sell on eBay.

IDontHateRainbows · 29/01/2024 06:56

I have been known to sell them on ebay

IDontHateRainbows · 30/01/2024 18:02

Funnily enough I just sold a 10ml spray from maison margiela replica today with 2/3 gone foe a tenner. It wasn't the scent for me so hopefully someone else can enjoy a bargain

Littletinytarzanswingingfromanosehair · 30/01/2024 21:14

@IDontHateRainbows oooh I love their range. Which one didn't you like? I love tg all apart from Jazz Club. Smells like a sweaty man at the end of a night on the lash.

Punxsatawnyphil · 30/01/2024 21:22

I normally use all mine on rotation, the smaller bottles I use as travel perfumes. If it's one I won't use again, it goes to the DDs or used to spray the hoover filter.
