Sainsbury's nectar double up

Just in case you haven't seen they've brought back the points double up - only up to £100 (not sure what it used to be). But means you can swap £50 worth of points for £100 of vouchers which isn't bad!

We're nearly at the end of a long build and so have been saving up points for hopefully some new homeware stuff (pots and pans and towels etc) so pleased my £130 is now £180!

I can't see it in my app, which is annoying.

I've been holding out for this offer for years. Last time they ran it I had hardly any points so couldn't take part but I've now built up over £50 worth and normally use the offer to stock up on fizzy wine for Christmas, but I'm going to check again in a couple of days in case they're applying the offer gradually.

Do you shop at Sainsburys regularly @whensmynexthol1day? I'm wondering if I've not qualified because I hardly ever do, the points were built up buying BP petrol for work pool car, Argos,eBay, stuff like that.

Oh no that's disappointing! We have a Sainsbury's local very near us so regularly do a top up shop there. We do the big shop at Lidl but I probably do one £50 shop a month there. I've collected about £130 points in a year if that helps indicate spending but popping in every day helps as you get 5-40 bonus points for every transaction!

We got the Count up to Christmas promo on our cards, not this one.

My theory is that this 'double up' is targeted at people with a healthy points balance who rarely spend points. We spend ours regularly throughout the year.

Maybe also regular shoppers. 🤷‍♀️

I've got the count up to Christmas and about to finish it in 3 weeks thanks to the bonus nectar points on smart shop. I've never had so many points sat on my card in a year! But no double up

Yeah. We will both finish ours in 3 shops. DH has 500 per target and I have 1000.

yes i have that one - i have around £50 worth of points, and never spend them bar on double point times (on wine)

i have to get 1000 points per stage - but i do always take account of any points offer and pretty much always target them when i shop.

I haven't got this offer. I have my main shop delivered from Sainsbury's every week and usually pop in for a top up at least once a week (Ok I'm not good at planning what I need) so I don't think it is particularly for regular shoppers.

FFS this is ridiculous. Either give the offer to all or none.

Nectar is rubbish now. It used to be like Tesco vouchers and was even worth 4x for merlin.
Now I just use it on my shopping. Even the double up is annoying as only for certain departments. Even worse if it’s only certain customers now!
