Does Deep Heat work?

What is everyone doing to keep themselves warm in broken Britain?
I've decided to cover myself in Deep Heat and have ordered a load from Amazon. Much cheaper than putting on the central heating.

I have a heated throw for the evenings when I'm on the sofa, it's bloody lovely, and a (knock off) oodie from primark for general wearing around the house.

Not convinced deep heat will be helpful, although it's good for the menthol sinus clearing effect. My DD hates the smell of the stuff but the knackered muscles in my thigh like it.

@CyberCritical Are the blankets expensive to run?

It depends on wattage and how much your electricity tariff is but Which says it's between 2p and 7p an hour.

squareyedannie · 10/11/2023 14:13

That's awesome. Thank you @CyberCritical

Have you got any thermal clothes? They help a bit. I have thermal leggings and a thermal long sleeved top.

I'd be careful about deep heat - isn't it medicated?

Octavia64 · 10/11/2023 15:26

Deep heat will bring a load of blood to whatever area you spray it on. It's good if you have knackered muscles but it's quite uncomfortable and I wouldn't be using it to stay warm.

Blankets? Ooodie? Thermals are also good.

Just spray it on your head, hands and feet. It'll be just like wearing a woolly hat, gloves and socks

Oh god, don't touch anything if you spray it on your hands. Can only imagine that tingly feeling in your eyes or ermmmm other sensitive places 😂

You got that from Viz Top Tips and I claim my five pounds.

Can't believe some people think this is a serious thread Grin

squareyedannie · 11/11/2023 12:03

@BarbaraofSeville It;s semi serious. I would like some tips!

I’ve got a slanket. Amazon knock off one obviously! It’s really nice and cosy.

squareyedannie · 12/11/2023 13:26

@WrinkledCucumber I think my whole family would fit in there. Awesome!
