Help working out if eligible for COL payment please

I don't understand the eligibility criteria very well. Could somebody tell me if I am eligible or not? I made a new claim for Universal credit on 31st August. I received my first statement on 2nd October and my first payment on the 6th October.

Universal Credit for an assessment period that ended in the period 18 August 2023 to 17 September 2023.

Your assessment period won’t have ended before the 17th September im guessing? If not then you aren’t eligible.

Yes unfortunately not for this one but you may be for the next payment that’s due before spring 2024
