How does it work please bank reverse payment?

Hi I was recently in an abusive relationship where money was taken out of my bank by him. My bank has been amazing and has reversed all the payments he sent to his account from mine. They told me they'd now report to police for me and claim the money back.
I've already had it back from the bank.

I'm just wondering how does it work on his side Will he know they've taken it back? Will he be in a minus? Or will it be asked of him instead to pay.
I'm just worried when he finds out I've done this he will go insane and come for me again. Bloody hate this worry. Thank you.

The chances are your bank has funded the refund at the moment. They will look to claim it back from his bank and ultimately his account. If money is available they will simply take it out. They will probably also close his account/s if found to have committed fraud. If it has been reported to the police, depending on the circumstances he may also find himself with a criminal record. If his account is closed due to fraud he'll be put on the CIFAS record and he'll struggle to get any financial products for a very long time. He's been very stupid in thinking he could get away with it.
Don't let him scare you into this matter not being pursued. It's largely out of your hands now anyway, but he needs to feel the full force of the consequences of his actions or he will do it to someone else. If you are threatened by him in any way you absolutely must report it to the police, no matter how silly you may think it is.

If they have charged back his bank then they will have removed the funds. Either from his balance or overdraft.

Could he try and get it reversed against me? I sent all proof to the fraud team and they upheld it once they viewed my evidence. I'm just worried a lot

No. The bank have reviewed your proof and refunded the money. They won't claw it back from you.

Thank you. Been the worst time of my life.
I didn't see it happening until I'm out. Feel all over the place tbh.

You are the victim here OP. You don't need to worry. You have done nothing wrong. Block him on everything and move onwards.
