Quick way to make £1000

My business (solo trader providing a service) pulls in about 30k a year.

I am very good at budgeting and generally I know exactly how much I can spend on what, and it does me fine.

However... I have had a huge unexpected bill of £1000 and it's screwed me over.

I am racking my brains to think HOW can I get creative and somehow get £1000.

I have a 1 year old so I currently work when she naps and after she goes to sleep in the evenings.

If I found a solution, I could potentially ask my family for some short term help.

Open to aallllll ideas x x x

Could you do extra work if family look after your baby? If you are making 30k the. Making an extra 1k through the business is going to be the easiest solution.

Could you apply for a 0% interest credit card and pay the bill on that? Then pay it off over however many months at 0% interest by maybe selling stuff on eBay, Vinted and Facebook marketplace. Have a look on moneysavingexpert website for their comparisons.

Do you have any credit on your accounts with your energy supplier? You could see if you could get a refund of some ££.

NoSquirrels · 30/10/2023 08:33

Ask whoever the £1,000 bill is from to do a payment plan over 4 months? £250 a month to find is much easier than £1K immediately.

It won't get you big money fast, but will get you £5 every couple of days or so plus a lot more and faster if you start referring people, I really recommend Eureka surveys for extra cash just from your phone from the comfort of your own home 24/7 when the kids are in bed etc.
