We have an objectively decent income.
But the rising costs are just depressing. Six of us, two adult kids who pay rent that covers their food and a bit towards bills. Two younger ones. A cat.
£4k allocated to go out every month.
I try to save the rent towards unexpected bills.

Id cancel the pet insurance if you think uou would not allow intervention anyway due to age

i f you have a free goods fb page , ask about for free or cheap slow cookers.
i have two . One was free , the other a fiver.

on many sundays i batch cook and have two slow cookers going at once.. so you chop onions for each and so on .. its easy and the house smells inviting .

re the rent .. its needs to go up even a little bit .. this will give you more lee way .

look up jack munro use me for anything tomato sauce.. i donr rate many of her recipies .. but this is cheap and v v good !

I don't understand we have no smart meter and pay £250 gas and electric combined . Six bed sahm and wfh dh so high usage. Why is it so much?
