I am raising two kids in a tiny, cramped flat and it's a huge struggle in many ways. I have a pt job (kid at primary) but currently not earning much so getting help from UC for my rent.
I am in a relationship that I see going the distance. We do not live together and no plans to for a year minimum because I want more time for my children to get used to the idea. Have been dating three years but known him 25 years.
So. My question. He has amazingly offered to gift me the extra £ I would need to be able to afford a 3bed house until such time that we live together.
Is this something I need to declare to UC? I would be the only one on the rental agreement, though it would be clear from my finances that I can't quite manage to pay this amount on my own. What should I do? Can anyone either advise, or point me in the right direction to see for myself what UC say about such things?
