Hi
Iv looked online and can't see anything that gives me clarity.
My son is starting year 7 in September I am on universal credit can you get free school meals in high school?

You can if you earn below a certain amount - look on your local council's website usually for how to apply.

Yes you can did you qualify when he was I primary? If so then you will get it

If not snd it's new circumstances then you need to have earnings under a certain amount

Just applied on the council website , I wasn't on universal when he was in primary school recent marriage breakdown. Thanks for your help x

If you qualify for FSMs, make sure the school is claiming Pupil Premium for your child and look at the report the school produces on how they use that money, it may entitle your child to extra help with costs such as school trips, tutoring etc.
