You need to wait 3 full assessment period after the fit note date.

will depend on your AP dates but will either be 2 or 3 months worth.
Think it’s £390 per month

Bromptotoo · 10/07/2023 16:10

Pretty much what PP says. What are your AP dates?

Msplace · 10/07/2023 16:13

whats an AP date

Your Assessment Period

Your dates will be on your statement if you don’t know them

Msplace · 10/07/2023 16:18

not sure if this is what you mean but the decision letter is saying from 3 months after I submitted my first fit note. there's no dates on it?

No, on your monthly statement it says your assessment period dates.

Msplace · 10/07/2023 17:19

sorry, but what monthly statement?

OP posts:

Your universal credit monthly statement.

Do you have an online or a phone claim?

If you have an online claim- go to your homepage and ‘payments’ your monthly universal credit statements are there.

Whiskyinajar · 10/07/2023 17:27

Hi OP, from experience with my son it went back to three months after he made his initial UC claim (I think) .

But the WCA was very quick after these three months.

It was awarded and backdated to around the end of the first three months.

Sorry if that doesn't sound clear.

Msplace · 10/07/2023 17:29

it says
Your next statement will be ready on 24 July 2023. Check again then.
On 28 July 2023 you will be paid any money you are entitled to.
The amount you get is based on your circumstances from 22 June to 21 July 2023.
If your payment falls on a bank holiday or weekend you'll usually get it earlier.

Ok so this ‘22 June to 21 July 2023’ is your assessment period

If you were awarded LCWRA from 11.01.23
you’ve waited the 3 months from the 21.04.23

You should be entitled to 3 months back pay and it will be included on your payment on the 28th July

Daydreamer123456 · 10/07/2023 17:37

Sorry the back pay won’t be included in your payment in July- I mean the LCWRA element will be included in your payment in July

You’ll get a separate payment for your back payment

Msplace · 10/07/2023 17:41

Do you know when I can expect the back pay?

OP posts:
Msplace · 10/07/2023 17:45

Thanks by the way for being so helpful 🙂 Are you sure it's 3 months back pay? 😍

Daydreamer123456 · 10/07/2023 18:01

No, I’m sorry!!

It’s 2 months back pay not 3!

When you get it is a bit of a waiting game! Some case managers are quick some not so much!

Leave a message in your journal - go to your journal add a journal entry when asked what’s the journal entry about select ‘a payment’ don’t leave a journal ‘message for your work coach’ as you won’t have one assigned to your claim now and won’t get a response.

Just write a quick message and ask about the back pay.

And sorry once again, it is 2 months back pay not 3
