Has anyone completed a tax credits renewal online recently? How long did it take for the app to show new payments?

As the title says. Has anyone renewed online and how long did the app take to update?

I need to budget and whilst I’ve had no changes, the system is a mystery how it works out payments.

I renewed online yesterday and it is showing as “ready for processing”.

I did mine two weeks ago and it took 6 days

About 4-6 days I think. Not long.

Did mine a couple of months ago. New payments showed on the site within maybe a week or possibly two. Several weeks before I got the "thanks for renewing" pack.

ive just sent the second lot of dla forms and it’s saying it’s going to take 24/7 they received the first lot on 3/7 I mean almost 3 weeks! Ridiculous hope my renewal doesn’t take that long too how are people meant budget

It takes longer the closer you get to the deadline because so many people don't fill it out when it arrives (in May usually). If you do it straight away then there is barely any wait at all.

the current payments continue until they get around to your renewal, so at least that's something. It's not like they cut you off for a few weeks (although I don't want to give them any ideas)

if there are no changes then the numbers should essentially be the same, give or take a fiver here or there. It's only if your income has massively changed that it really makes a difference to the numbers. So fingers crossed you should be ok, if there are no changes :)
