Energy Bills

Hi I know back last year I kind of panicked and fixed a deal but then there was all the energy cap and help from the government etc. But now my statement says I can save a whopping £16 a year if I switch to their other electricity tariff does this mean prices are heading down? Do you think its worth fixing again once they get lower? I don't know what I'm doing!

Predictions have been they should come down a bit in July. Not sure how much though.

It's a beta tariff that's been going for a few years but got loads of idiots like me sharing it online earlier this year, so they had to restrict numbers otherwise they'd go bust Grin

this is today's gas unit price for me - I've saved a fortune since i switched in Feb.

Oh God, I'm not sure I can face all this again. I fixed mine and was glad to not have to think about it for a while. Fix ends in Dec, so I suppose I need to start creeping out of hibernation! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Our unit prices dropped a couple of weeks ago (Eon) although (unsurprisingly) the SC remained the same.
Rightly or wrongly we have never bothered fixing, are just on the normal variable rate paying by DD with a healthy balance built up (G&E costs in our newbuild are a lot lower than our previous house and than expected).

If you fancy Octopus, OP, then here's a link for £50 credit on your account when you sign up: https://share.octopus.energy/glad-seal-912

(I also get £50 if you sign up using that link).

I was prompted to add this as I've just done their montly money spinner thing and got £64 for it Grin

All I have to do is spin that every month - ha!

I know! I just want to sort it and be done with it.

Thanks for all the advice everyone.
