Single person council tax discount and student children

Not sure if this is the right place to post, but I hope some of you might know the answer. I currently get the single person council tax discount and have a child at uni, graduating this year. Do I lose the discount as soon as the summer term ends (around the end of June) or is it September when the new term starts? Apparently student council tax exemption lasts until 1 September after graduating, so I'm hoping my discount will also last until then. DC is planning to move back home July-October, then getting a flat with friends, so I am wondering how much this will cost me in extra council tax.

A person ceases to be a full-time student when their course ends, as shown on their student certificate. If this is stated as 1 September on your DC’s certificate then you also won’t lose your single person discount until then, as students aren’t counted as adults in the household for the purposes of the discount.

Thanks, I'll ask dc to get a student certificate and see what that says.
