£400 Energy Rebate Question!

Can any of you answer this has British Gas are giving me conflicting information!

So the £400 rebate was split into six payments - my first rebate payment was provided to me on 1st November as my usual monthly bill goes out on 27th of the month so payment came out end of October, rebate appeared 1st November.

I then got rebate payments on 30th November, 3rd January and 1st February so the next one is due any day now.

So that makes five payments in total, so I should get the sixth and final payment in April - HOWEVER British Gas are saying that the rebate scheme ends in March so no payments for April - but my payment does come out on 27th March, they just take a few days to send me the rebate which means it falls into April.

I think the person I have been speaking to is confused but just to check, the final payment would still be made even if it's paid in April, correct?!

You get six payments. Your March payment might arrive in April but that’s just semantics.

This is what I said but the person on the phone said the scheme ends in March so I won't get another payment after the one due in the next couple of days! I said but that only equals five payments not six but he was adamant the cut off is end of March!

I think I just got a very confused and useless person as that clearly isn't correct!

I think most began in October. Just checked mine (paid into my bank rather than added to bill) and the first was October 11.
Yours went in right at the end of the first cycle so would expect the same for the sixth payment. They probably process it at the end of the month but it takes a day or two to show up.
