Sick of it

I'm tired this year. I'm tired of making an effort with my husband who makes no effort with me.

I'm tried of making an effort with my friends who don't talk properly to me anymore. They send memes and emojis and I find it really childish. I'm tired of posting my life on facebook for "likes" and no connection.

I'm tired of making an effort with people from work that don't respect me. Was bullied earlier in the year and I'm sick of saying hello being "nice".

I'm sick of pretending it's ok that we are struggling even though both of us work full time. Bills are higher, mortgages are higher.

I'm sick of my temporary contract.

It's not ok.

I'm sorry you're feeling like that.

This is hard, it's OK to feel unhappy about these situations. It would be a good next step to look at one or 2 of these situations individually and see what steps you might be able to take to improve them. Would visiting a counsellor be a possibility for you? Or kind of adopting some behaviours that might help start the changes you need?
Best wishes xx

Hi there schratching

I'm sorry to read how you are feeling right now.
what are you coping mechanisms? i find journaling very helpful to get it all out.
Have you spoke to your husband about his lack of effort or your current financial situation? Was he understanding? and your friends, have you spoke to them about how they communication style is not your taste? It's not ideal, but we do outgrow our friends and that's ok.

You are not stuck (even if it feels like it).
Start with the things you can control - your job and your finances.
track your spending and see where you can make cutbacks.
start looking for a more permanent role - or even upskilling if you can.

I wish you the best

Yeah I’m sick of it too. I’m also on a temporary contract 😢 It’s my second one in a row plus my work are getting rid of 30-40% of people. It’s been nail biting for the last 15 months as they’ve barely told us anything as to who’s staying and who’s going. I go to work everyday wondering what’s going on, knowing that the big-wigs on £100k plus salaries are safe in their jobs. It’s always the way 😡 We can’t survive on just DH’s salary so it’s a huge worry.
