Has anyone had a universal credit claim cancelled and then successfully appealed ?

I claim UC and have regular phone appointments. I normally accept my commitments on the same day online.

At the end of November I had a call, they said nothing to do now until we contact you in new year except you have to accept commitments which I've done.

Then in December I've missed an email saying I had to log in and accept new commitments (can't see what these are now) but today I've had my claim closed.

I've rung them and they said I can start a mandatory reconsideration which I think means an appeal. This can take weeks to decide and I can't reclaim in that period.

I'm worried about wasting time and losing so much money. But if I reclaim I can't backdate any money as claim starts now.

Also I've had an email today saying log in by today or the claim will be cancelled and literally ten seconds later the claim was closed online.

Absolutely submit a MR. I do them as part of my job and I'd say about 2/3 are successful so definitely do it.
