Anyone still using their tumble dryer

We are a family of 3 (soon 4) and the washing never ends in our house. Our toddler is constantly messy and covered in food.I would like to wear and outfit more than once but due to my toddler it is impossible and my husband works in construction.I was drying my washing outside but nothing was getting dry and caused condensation on the windows.I have finally caved in and bought a Hoover mid range dryer and Oh my god it is amazing. How I have managed before one I don't know. Are they really so bad like people portrait them to be.Anyway it will only be used during winter months. Can't wait for the spring to come.

Still using it here - I had stopped using it but with four adults the amount of washing over clothes horses was becoming ridiculous. I’ve cut back and only use it for underwear and lightweight clothes, and that’s really helped our electricity bill.

I’m using it as much as I ever have. I can afford it and in a fairly small flat, it’s worth it not to have wet washing hanging about (I use an airer and dehumidifier so it’s not the damp, it’s the space).

Yes. I had a Lakeland heated airer in my previous place because I didn’t have a tumble dryer, and much as it did a job, I’m not going back to the bother of hanging out all the clothes again. Plus, I’m in an old, uninsulated timber framed house, so am also quite keen to keep condensation to a minimum. But laziness is the main driver.

Yes. I’m fortunate to have this option.

Yes family of 6 Including a disabled child so alot of washing! We use the tumble dryer for all pants socks wipes etc and also bedsheets. We dry normal clothes on airers in the utility room with a dehumidifier and then finish them in off in dryer so it's a 24 hour turnaround. This is the only way to keep on top of it all it's a full-time job!

Using the banisters at the moment with the dehumidifier in close proximity.

Yes, every day in winter. We hang everything outside from spring to autumn but there’s nowhere to hang it indoors, and we’re being as frugal as possible in terms of turning the heating on so it would take days to dry and go all foisty. And the rate our washing basket fills up we’d all be drowning in damp washing.
