Faulty smart meter

My parents are with Eon and are having problems with the smart meters, the reading aren't being sent remotely and now the electricity meter is giving error messages. We've tried to contact Eon but it's near impossible, they need to know their energy use so they can budget.

Anyone know the next step to take ?

No advice but we’ve had the same issue. Only had a smart meter installed about a year ago but it constantly loses signal. We’ve had an email asking to come and fix it, but only if I take time off work to sit in all day and wait for them. Explained this but no solution offered and just told that it may stop working altogether and could leave us without power if it stops altogether! Not helpful in the slightest.

Just do what you would do with a traditional meter - send the readings in. It is still the readings that are important to generate your bill.

The smart meters are in the garage, they need to walk down the path with a torch, not idea at their age and defeating the point of smart meters, also the app won't show up to date info by manually submitting readings.

I'll keep on at the supplier, it's a right faff!
