We had a new smart meter installed last week and the readings seem a bit all over the place. We were planning to just leave it on for a few days to see what the readings were and the cost, and then turn things off or heating down etc if we needed. However we don't seem to be getting anything consistent or useful from it. Last night i noted down the consumption when i went to bed and at 11 pm i had used (according to the display) 63.60 kwh of gas and elecricity combined,costing £4.54. This morning i checked back for consumption yesterday and it says i used 7.1 kwh costing £3.08. It says for gas only yesterday i used 0 kwh costing 34p. I don't know if it is set up wrong or (more likely!) something i am doing wrong, but i have even less idea now of my use than before the meter was put in. Anyone any idea what is going on?
