Good free money ideas / discounts to help with cost of living

I wondered if others might like to share money off ideas to help with the cost of living.

I have two to start with -

My bank (Co-op bank) is doing a refer a friend offer - see

www.co-operativebank.co.uk

where they give you £125 when swapping your bank account to them. They sort out changin your direct debits over etc automatically. They seem pretty good I have been using them for several years and find their online banking easy to use, customer service is good and they are an ethical bank as well.

They even pay you a couple of pounds every month for paying in some money and having a certain number of e.g. direct debits.

Just PM me if interested as you need my info for the form - follow the links on the site above.

My other money off offer I have been using a lot recently is with Waitrose online, but these can be used for other online shopping as well.

I have used these apps called Coupert and Honey and they fill in discount codes when you checkout. I'm regularly getting £22 off Waitrose shopping, you do need to spend £100 but there seem to be other ones as well.

Hope these help someone and please share others as well!

I use the printer at the library as we only need to print or photocopy rarely e.g. twice a year. Saves room in the house plus money.

For reading material as an enjoyable pastime in our quieter moments use your local library. Saves buying books new or secondhand plus you do not end up falling over large quantities of books in your home lol.

Use the Martin Lewis guidance ref buying e.g. books cds clothing. Would be nice items 'Do I really need this?' Wait 24 hours etc.

Lebara mobile have 50% off for three months with a referral code. They have plans starting from £5 for one month contracts, less if you sign up for 12 months. I've recently switched to them and they seem good so far, no issues. Referral link here

I know this is a bit of a zombie but...

Nationwide are giving cash back on grocery shopping with most of their bank accounts. It's 5% and you can 'earn' up to £10 a month. It runs until April.
