I ordered an Advent Calendar for my granddaughter and at 'total' noticed £5 added to the price. No breakdown, so I assumed it was (rather expensive) postage, and paid. I then received an email welcoming me as a Wowcher VIP member. It took a while to register that I had unknowingly signed up fo pay £5 monthly for this useless service I didnt want. Usual ordeal trying to cancel it, but finally managed it via Whatsapp at 7am. If I want to commit £5 pm I'll give it to charities not this rip off 'club'.
