Im moving house but we are halfway through the council tax year, just wondering when you move do you only pay for the time you have spent in the property April-September or do you still have to pay the full year even though we wont be living in it**

Only pay from when you move in - you need to notify them when you move out of old house and they usually ask for new address then and notify new council if appropriate

I think it depends whether you still own the first property. Some councils allow a few months on a reduced rate if the property is vacant.
