Sainsbury's used to do a 24 pack for £6.50 which was good value but they've stopped selling it.
They now sell 16 pack for the same price but the rolls are smaller, so effectively they've almost doubled the price!
Where is the best value to be found?

Aldi

Farm Foods - 4 x pack of 18 for £17. It's decent toilet roll, doesn't feel cheap at all.

It was only £12 for 4 packs until a few weeks back so the price has shot up - but it's still the best value I've found.

I find Aldi essential 6 rolls for £1.93 the best budget roll. Seems to last for ages compared to other brands.

Lidl budget rolls are similar in price and not bad either.

I think Aldi loo roll is horrible. Really cheap feeling. I like Asda's own brand.

If you're a member, i really like the kirkland signature 40 rolls from costco. It's 3ply so you use less than 2ply. Think it's about £13

sanityisamyth · 10/09/2022 15:20

Asda shades is nice.

We use Waitrose Essentials and I would recommend it.
I buy the 16 rolls packet which is £6.75 . With MyWaitrose card / app I often get a discount voucher of £1.50 for it (so £5.25 for 16 rolls).

£15.42 Amazon own brand 45 rolls good quality. Bit cheaper if you subscribe and save.

Yes - I don't even look at the branded ones unless they have a really good offer on in Costco

I bought some Sainsbury loo roll to tide us over till I could get to Costco . On the looroll holder it looked like the cats had got it , so torn looking and shabby Hmm

MakingNBaking · 11/09/2022 05:20

I use the Amazon Presto ones as pp, £15.42 for 45 rolls, not bad quality and delivered to the door at whichever interval you prefer (every 2 months for me).

PupInAPram · 11/09/2022 05:44

Asda own brand. 24 pack works out at just over 33p per roll and the rolls are proper length unlike some budget/own brands.

Nyfluff · 11/09/2022 05:52

Home Bargains is 32 rolls for £7.99 but it's scented.
Farmfoods do unscented, thick Softy, 18 rolls for £5.99

Yup, Farm Foods, without a doubt.
It's thick, quality paper and by far the cheapest
