Should we switch from octopus standard variable rate to UW standard variable rate?

Other companies don't want to know us but UW will let us switch to a SVR I think. I was looking at a fixed deal and the VR showed up £30 less than what we pay on octopus. Should we switch? Or will it alter the offers we are offered for loyal customers etc

What are the actual rates for Standard variable on Octopus Vs UW? I honestly can't believe they will be much if any different.

I thought Octopus had a better reputation than UW as a company generally. If you're going to be stuck with a company for the foreseeable with little option to change, I'd stick with the better company tbh

Without a doubt stick with Octopus. UW products are very iffy other than their energy plan. Appalling reviews for broadband and you can’t even find out about their home insurance etc until you’ve signed up.

You need to compare the actual standing charge per day and price per unit of gas / electricity.
