Hi all. Please can I have some recommendations for heated throws? There are numerous on Amazon with decent reviews although also heard some stop working after a few months! TIA 🙂

This thread is quite old now, but if you’ve landed here looking for advice on keeping warm this winter, we’ve recently updated our best heated throw page with plenty of toasty, cost-effective blankets Mumsnetters love. We hope it’s helpful.

I've only got experience with the dreamland ones, my mums had hers for a couple of years now and no issues, we bought her one and she went on to buy another for her bedroom as she found the fur ones a bit too heavy. I've just bought ours from there and some for gifts for mil & fil. The blanket ones heat up just as warm as the fur ones and are a lot cheaper. The fur ones are lovely and plush though but a bit heavier.

Thank you @Mrsfussypants1 I've taken a look on their website and they look good. I think I'd just go for the fleece one as want it for the days I work from home too so easy to wrap around me. Don't really want to stretch to two but the fur one looks great for the sofa 🙂

I have one from Lakeland. It's grey with stars. I love it! As do the cats.

I got the CosiHome brand after I asked for recommendations a few months ago. Managed to pick up a second one on Amazon Warehouse Deals as the box had been bashed. It’s fantastic.

If you sign up to mylakeland you'll get 20% off vouchers (among other things) which'll help a bit! I think I got mine in about a week after signing up.

Ah, that was meant to say I got the dreamland ones from Lakeland

Lakeland. Bought one last year and just tested it to make sure it still works (it does). Mainly I used them because they are a reputable brand and too many Amazon reviews for other brands contained the words 'stopped working after a few months.'

I bought two Cosihome ones from Amazon for the kids to take to uni last year and they both said they were great. Eldest DD works from home and wraps herself in the throw to avoid putting the heating on. Had no issues with reliability. Paid about £60 I think.
