I have read all the online info regarding cost of living payment and still not sure if I will receive a payment in August, my circumstances are that my award for period 26/04 to 25/05 was zero but I had a tax credit recovery deduction of £12 (universal payment date 02/06) and there after had zero awards with no deductions and will be closing my universal credit claim now as I have had a substantial pay rise, can any one advise on this please

I’m not sure but I think because you had some form of payment even tho it went to an over payment you’ll get the July half but you wouldn’t get the second half.

Thank you for replying, Is the second half the October payment?

Yea I think so, I’m only going on the fact that Martin Lewis said if you didn’t qualify for the first part then you might for the second so assuming there will be a different qualifying date for the second part. I could be wrong.

I’m in the same scenario - my award for the year would have been about £300 but they over paid me last year so I had nothing for a couple of months and am getting £100 in a few weeks.

I rang them this week and she said I wouldn’t be eligible for the cost of living payment, which was a second blow to losing my tax credits. It’s to do with getting payments on a certain date.

Ive been working towards getting over the threshold for years but it couldn’t have happened at a worse time, because I definitely feel worse off.
