Heated throw recommendations?

Looking at getting a few heated throws in preparation for the winter. Or I've seen heated jackets.
Has anyone one used them? Do they work well? I work at home so thinking it would be a good option to keep me warm without putting the heating on.
Getting quite stressed about rising costs and trying to get us in as good position as possible.

This thread is old now, but if you’ve landed here looking for advice on keeping warm this winter, we’ve recently updated our best heated throw and best heated gilet pages with loads of toasty, cost-effective buys Mumsnetters love. We hope it’s helpful.

We have the dreamland one. It's so good

I was given the Lakeland furry throw for Christmas last year. The only problem with it is that DD and DS steal it. It is absolutely wonderful!

Mine came from Aldi. Or maybe Lidl? It's fabulous. Can't recommend highly enough. I don't think the brand matters.

I had the cheapest biggish one off Argos last year for working from home and it was great. I think they’re all much of a muchness really.

I have a furry one from Lakeland. It’s amazing and the whole house fights over it!

I have the £35 one from Aldi. It was a godsend whilst wfh last winter. I will probably buy another one or two when they appear this year for on beds or dc to use.
it even has buttons to create a little nest for your feet. Love it!

I have the Dreamland one from Lakeland and it is fantastic. I have a heated coat from Regatta, which makes a lot of difference, and this one should be wearable inside, esp if you got one size larger.
Can I recommend a pair of fake Uggs to wear in the house too? I have a pair that I think were Matalan (but I got on ebay) and the thick soled and sheepskin lining keep my feet toasty while at my desk

Brilliant thanks. Sounds like it's definitely worth investing in a few!

I am going to buy some of these and I need to get some more heat tech thermal vests and leggings.

I second getting some hard soled Ugg type boots to wear inside. I also have a merino/cashmere long dressing gown from Woolovers which I wear over clothes as a sort of house coat/cardigan.

My best item though is my electric under blanket. You can leave it turned on low all night if you want. It costs pennies to run and means I can have the bedroom radiator turned off. I actually like sleeping in a cold room so this suits me.
