Blue Light Card

Has anyone had a blue light card and been banned? I stupidly shared a discount code on social media to a friend not thinking and they picked up on it and banned the account. Thing is, the account is actually my MILs which she asked me to set up for her as she isn't very tech savvy, so it was set up to my email and it got banned just under 2 years ago.

Has anyone managed to get it back after being banned? She hasn't asked me about it once but now wants to start using it and I am shitting myself to tell her.

They have still been sending me member emails and have also sent me renewal email recently but it won't allow me to log into the account.

You need to be honest with her about what you did.

i have a blue light card and you’ve gone against the T&Cs so I think you’ll find it pretty hard to get it overturned.

you should have set it up using your MIL email address or at least made her an email account to set it up rather than use your own as it’s not your card that in itself could be considered fraudulent use by them. So I think you’ll really struggled to explain to them and get it reinstated

you should tell your MIL what happened but tbh it sounds like you used the benefits of the card (which I assume you don’t qualify for) when you shouldn’t have. I expect even if your MIL. Says she wasn’t aware that you / your friends were using the codes they’ll say tough

Can’t you just set up a new one with her details?

I always share my discount codes, is this not allowed? How do they know?

This is a zombie thread, but part of the t & cs said you can be banned for sharing codes and there is a form to report leaked codes.
Also you can’t create new accounts if you forget your details to log in as that’s not allowed either.
