Octopus gas transactions reviewed

Anyone else getting this? Electricity readings are automatically applied and deducted from my account but gas transactions sit for days to be reviewed. Why is this happening?

Maybe its because its a more complicated process to get the charges right as its not as straightforward as the electric reading. The gas meter doesn't give kWh units so your reading needs to be converted to kWh to work out what you've used. (I'm just surmising that this is why it takes longer as I've noticed it too)

It's being worked out then the money 'held' while it's reviewed. I would have thought it was all worked out automatically?

Oh OK, glad it's not just mine. Wasn't sure if they didn't believe the readings but most people I know have turned their heating off too.
