£25 lunch for me and lovely colleague. We do this once every 6 weeks or so. Lunch and a gossip. Nice.

@CurlsandCurves woah pension payments! Proper adulting!

I know - dd is 2.5 now. Big girl. And ds will start school in sept. How’d that happen?!?!

8stone13 · 08/02/2022 14:09

Dishwasher is fixed! And whilst the chap was here he serviced the washing machine, which hadn't been spinning well. We discovered that was due to a small plastic toy being caught up in the internal mechanism. I could kill the kids but I'm so pleased it only cost me £45 all told that I may let them get away with it 😆

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/02/2022 17:30

£4 postage and £9 coop

Unescorted · 08/02/2022 20:20

Pensions are fabulous... it is the only savvy financial thing I ever did.

Good news on the dishwasher 8

Thanks @Unescorted Really relieved.

Agree on the pensions too. I like knowing I have something sorted for the future 🙂

Should of been a nsd but I committed a mn sin and bought off my mlm friend. She’s lovely but could sell snow to the Eskimos. She does body shop so I already have a ton of that as has branched out to fm. I will now be the proud owner of 6 perfumes that I don’t really need as I have lots of perfume I got 3 bottles for Christmas not fm. Spends £25 pfft

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/02/2022 07:16

I buy off friends Alfie. It’s hard not to

ememem84 · 09/02/2022 12:49

£113!!!! Next. New trousers for dd (looser ones) and some jumpers for ds. Ffs. Stop growing kids!

Unescorted · 09/02/2022 13:35

I may have "developed an allergy" to whatever it is they put in cosmetics.... Helps that I don't wear make up very often.

My favourite pair of jeans are from Next.

Lovemaltesers · 09/02/2022 20:49

Avon is a MLM? I buy a few bits from someone at work, but only stuff I use.

Apart from editing tomorrow’s shopping delivery to save a few £s, I’ve had a NSD.

Need petrol later in the week though.
And I must change my name on my passport ££s this week which is annoying as I have 5 years left so keep delaying. But nhs covid passport is in my new name.

CurlsandCurves · 09/02/2022 20:51

£1.30 on a loaf of bread. Only a few weeks ago it would have been £1.05-£1.10. Times are changing.

Tomorrow I need milk and a lettuce. Rock and roll.

CurlsandCurves · 09/02/2022 20:54

For the record, I cannot buy cheap bread. Because DH is a bread connoisseur and will only have the good stuff. Which is fair enough when he’s working all hours. His alarm is set for 2.30am so who am I to scrimp on his packed lunch, bless him.

ememem84 · 10/02/2022 06:35

I’m up and working already. Attending an online webinar on Middle East tax. Yawn.

But cpd. So I’ll at least get my hours up.

lifelongfrugaleer · 10/02/2022 07:12

Blimey that’s early

Lightning020 · 10/02/2022 07:48

I have lots of days no spend in terms of cash. It is EBay spending I need to watch. I buy my beauty and health stuff mainly from there.

Today I am going to the walk in barbers for a dry cut. Plenty of women go. £7 instead of £35. I feel bad to not be supporting the hair salon but I will still go occasionally when my curly hair needs more styling. Self employed and work is quiet.

grannycake · 10/02/2022 12:02

£61 Ocado included a bottle of whisky for DH, £30 approved foods - mostly chocolate Blush Should be a cheapish weekend as rugby is on TV so dog walks somewhere nice and then watch the games (with chcocolate for when we lose!)

ememem84 · 10/02/2022 12:48

@lifelongfrugaleer

Blimey that’s early
Yep. It was streamed from Dubai though so time difference….
Mrsmadevans · 10/02/2022 13:21
