I rate urban decay or too faced eyeshadows not tried Charlotte tilbury yet although dd got some for Christmas

ememem84 · 16/03/2022 07:36

afternoon Charlotte tilbury is amazing. The pillow talk mascara is ace. I’m currently using an eyeshadow/liner pencil in green which is so smooth. And very pigmented. It’s amazing. Bought dm a palette for Christmas. All neutrals. And it’s wonderful.

CurlsandCurves · 16/03/2022 08:20

Hope this works, here’s the dress. Am teaming it with biker jacket and chunky boots:

Thanks for the makeup recommendations ladies. Never tried Charlotte Tilbury and not used Urban Decay for years. I’ll see what I can find today.
Looking forward to a relaxed no pressure mooch around the shops.

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/03/2022 09:22

Love that dress. I might try the blue floral one

ememem84 · 16/03/2022 14:42

£19.50 to colleague. She went to boots and picked me up a soap and glory gift set. Reduced down from £65. This will work for dsis’ birthday gift.

Mrsmadevans · 16/03/2022 18:33

Beautiful dress Curls Smile

marthasmum · 16/03/2022 19:08

Lovely dress curls and great placement ice. I'm sat in the car waiting for DS2 and friends to do football training - about to log on and do some work. Just tried to sort insurance for DD's car (which she's buying off my parents with savings) but they're closed now, hopefully going to squeeze that into tomorrows jobs. Feeling a bit overwhelmed with life admin. Had a nice afternoon at work though sorting some stuff at the hospital with people I used to work with.
Hope everyone is ok. I'm afraid I've just turned off the news on my commute to work and listened to Spotify instead. I did hear Nazanin had got her passport, is she actually free now? That's amazing news. Her family have been through so much.

Been to Pilates. Was tough.

House news. Underfloor heating is in and pre tiling leveller has been laid. Yay.

Dd crashed out before 7pm this evening. She’s exhausted. Bit of a cough. But nothing major. Hoping she sleeps through. She didn’t last night

Ds apparently cried like a crazy this evening when I was out. Also exhausted.

Happy St Patrick's day to our Irish frugaleers

Taytocrisps · 17/03/2022 07:45

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone Shamrock. Day 1 of a four day weekend. I'll probably wander down to the town to watch the parade. DD is going to the pub later with her friends, so I get to stay home and be sensible and collect them all at the end of the night Smile. They're only 17 so I'm half-hoping the pub asks for ID and refuses to serve them. I've warned her to ring me at the first hint of trouble. The pubs can be a bit mental on Paddy's Night. Not necessarily the pubs themselves but sometimes you get an element outside the pubs at the end of the night. I've also warned her to have two drinks and then switch to something non-alcoholic.

I'm doing a turkey joint for dinner with mash, carrots and asparagus covered in breadcrumbs and brie . And lots of gravy.

Should be a NSD. Unless I end up giving DD money for the pub.

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/03/2022 10:36

Bargain em.

Scouts and gym yesterday. £20 doggo chew and replacement of lost balls

Happierwithouthim · 18/03/2022 08:36

Spends all round here but I'm on my holidays, I didn't put great effort into saving for it so I just took €500 from savings. We needed the break so it's worth it.

Off to Harry Potter world today & Legoland tomorrow Grin

Happierwithouthim · 18/03/2022 08:38

Yesterday I spent €37 in a corner shop €12.99 of which was on 32 toilet rolls as you do when you're going on holidays but it seemed like a good deal & I'm down to last 4 at home, rest on breakfast from deli & some treats for dc

€25 new iPhone charging lead, it's less than 8 months since I bought the last one but a necessary spend

CurlsandCurves · 18/03/2022 08:54

@Happierwithouthim sounds like you’re having a great holiday!

@Taytocrisps hope yesterday was good and your daughter had fun.

@Alfiemoon1 do we get before and after pics of your hair? Hope you’re pleased with it.

@ememem84 bargains galore, well done!

Just got to do a quick top up shop today. Get some £1 coins from the bank for DS2 school dinners. Take my contacts back to spec savers and finally cancel my subscription. I just don’t use them anymore I’ve got about 9 months worth still in their boxes, so that’s £20 a month saved. Prescription to collect and pay for.

And finally I’m going to see my folks and check my outfit for tomorrow looks ok in their full length mirror. We still haven’t got one! I’m just not sure about the biker jacket, think it might well be a waste of money and I’ll not wear it again. But I’ve got a little denim jacket that I think will look just as good.

But first a zoom dance fit class. Have a great day everyone.

Taytocrisps · 18/03/2022 11:01

The girls got home unscathed (I collected them) but I think it was an eye opener for them. I haven't had time to talk to DD properly 'cos her friends are still here, but she said that towards the end of the night, people were stupid drunk and smashing glasses etc. There were also a few fights. She said that some guy fell off a bar stool , hit his head off the floor and looked really dazed afterwards. You can see why I was a bit anxious. People go crazy on Paddy's night. And of course, the type of venue that allows underage drinking probably won't be too particular about who else they let in. It will be better next year when they can legally drink and they can maybe choose a more salubrious pub.

Wolfcub · 18/03/2022 12:32

Busy morning. One chapter of study reading done. Two lots of washing done and hung. Been out with a friend. Dusted. Cleaned the kitchen and baked. Need to work up the energy to vac and read another chapter to get the dire book finished. Bed changed.
Tayto glad they got back ok sounds a lot like mad Friday is here, I won't go out on that night anymore (old fart)
Good bargains Em
Glad you're having a great time Happier

Bornlazy · 18/03/2022 16:56

Wolf that is a very productive morning. When I bake I feel like it takes forever as I usually make cupcakes with all the palaver of icing them. I also don't have a dishwasher so all the washing up puts me off a bit.

Happier I buy Amazon cables for my phone and they are really good. I usually buy the 6ft ones so I can comfortably charge it and use it at the same time. They sometimes do deals where you can buy about 10 for £40.

Tayto glad your dd got home safe. I think it's good for them to see a little bit of what too much alcohol can do to people. As you say a bit of an eye opener.

em well done! I totally missed the Boots 70% off sale as I was working. I usually pick up some birthday presents too.

Did my food shopping today. £49 Morissons & £40 Aldi. Haven't put it all away yet - probably my least favourite job 🙈
