@lifelongfrugaleer

Nice on wolf. Hope you get one Feel dreadful here. Aching and Cold and sick
Life I will get one it was agreed there and then after I was asked to set out my reasons. The only thing I don't know is whether I'll get the absolute max 12 month version or not or I'll get the 6 month version. One would pay for my washer drier and some other bits after tax, the other would pay for my Rangemaster.
lifelongfrugaleer · 01/03/2022 18:27

Excellent it was agreed

ememem84 · 01/03/2022 18:34

mrs I’m doing ok. I felt grotty a month or so ago but was negative. This time though +ve lft so that’s the tell.

I’m exhausted. Sore throat. Voice almost gone. Cough. Sleepy.

Mrsmadevans · 01/03/2022 18:35

Excellent work well done Wolf

ememem84 · 02/03/2022 05:40

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/03/2022 06:48

Oh no em
I’ve had the most hideous bug. Feeling crap

Unescorted · 02/03/2022 06:59

Wolf & Em well done on the promotions. I am in awe of you asking for it. My imposter syndrome would be ringing big time

Em I hope you have a "mild" version. I felt shocking for about a week and then started improving.

Thank you for all your tips.... I will collate them for the start of the next thread. It worries me that more people will need to take long hard looks at their finances. Not just to save for the big things but to make the money last to the next pay cheque.

I am going to say this here because I can't say it in RL. I want to give one of my nephews some nice good quality art things. He was doodling at the dinner table a few nights ago. He has a beautiful style & should be encouraged. If I do I will be told I am being unfair to his little shit of a brother because I haven't given them both a present. L SO B already gets so much more than my favourite nephew. It makes me angry that his shit of a father (my Bro) does not recognise that DN is really talented, but exalts the mediocre football skills of L SO B. And that is today's rant

life oh no!!!! Poor you. How are you feeling now?

Wolfcub · 02/03/2022 07:43

Oh no Life and Em, hope you feel brighter today

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/03/2022 08:15

I feel
Like a washed out dishrag. Hoping it’s all purged.

That’s so unfair to your nephew unescorted.

ememem84 · 02/03/2022 08:36

unescorted that is unfair. could you encourage favouritenephew re art work by getting him something for his birthday? art course or something?

i'm feeling ok - just like i have a bit of a cold if i'm honest. coughing occasionally bit of a sore throat ut mostly tired.

i'm working from home today, as feel capable but am taking it day by day. the boss is happy with this.

dh is in a crisis of ethics and morals at present. he feels that he shouldn't be going anywhere because i have covid. so he is thinking about cancelling his pilates class because i've cancelled mine (because covid). i asked him this morning he's also going to isolate with me. he says no so my point was - if you can go out and about and your not ill why are you trying to isolate yourself? is there another reason?

he's also annoyed that i'm going to have to tell the contact tracing people that i saw fit and his gf at the weekend. had to point out that i didnt see them. so why would i be telling the contact tracing people....

Mrsmadevans · 02/03/2022 08:55

Em glad you are feeling ok , hope it keeps like that for you lovely 💐
Unescorted imho and l realise we are all different, if it were me l would give it to him and encourage him as much as l could. You fill in for the gaps that are left in your Nephews life and don't worry about it, whatever you do will be wrong in some ppls eyes so you may as well do what is right ,thank God he has you 💐
Life bless you lovely l hope you are feeling much better today 💐
I plan a NSD for me so am
Off to MumBobs now wish me luck 🤣

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/03/2022 09:01

He has his knickers in a knot em. Send him to Pilates
I would give it to him too mrs and say other nephew can get a present another time.

CurlsandCurves · 02/03/2022 09:05

@lifelongfrugaleer and @ememem84 hope you’re both feeling better soon.

Well done on the bonus @Wolfcub, if you don’t ask you don’t get!

Spend day yesterday. £34 on train tickets for a girls night away in a couple of weeks. Then £90 on Beauty Pie. But it was a big stock up, haven’t bought anything for a couple of months and won’t need to for a while again now.

And £34 on ds1’s provisional driving licence. Eek! I’m going to try and find a fast track course for him as he’s desperate to get moving. With ordinary lessons he'd only be able to have them on the weekends due to work. So if he can take a week or so off and get it done that would be better.

Day off today so I’m having a quiet one. Bit of housework, nip out for a top up shop, that’s it I think.

Wolfcub · 02/03/2022 11:09

Bgas just sent me my updated costs for next year. Over £1000 more per year. Ffs

AdoraBell · 02/03/2022 12:10

£84-ish on groceries yesterday

Holy smokes!
lifelongfrugaleer · 02/03/2022 15:24

That’s a hell of a hike wolf. Scary costs

Gensola · 02/03/2022 16:53

wolf that's a nightmare - I fixed for 2 years in early Sept 2021, on a slightly higher rate than the current price cap but it's below the new cap from April 2022 so I am feeling very very thankful I took that gamble. The standing charges being proposed are brutal - the government needs to step in and do something about it. Tbh I think it is time to nationalise energy and stop it being a profit-making enterprise.
I slept terribly last night and have felt sort of woozy and drunk all day (not actually drunk but somehow drunk on exhaustion!). Dinner tonight is already made thank goodness so going to spend the evening resting and go to bed super early.

em I hope you are ok Flowers

unescorted that's so sad and unfair :(
