Hello, I am currently pregnant but plan to finish my second year. I do not want to take a full year out but instead plan to defer first placement of third year and return to studies/placement when baby is around 3 months. I will qualify for Statutory Maternity Pay but I cannot seem to find any answers about whether if I return to studies my SMP will stop or continue. I have tried calling student finance but they could not help. When I have looked for contact telephone numbere for SMP all I can find is one for employers to call. Any help and advice would be much appreciated.
