Lost my debit card. So annoyed.

I know where I last used it thanks to my online banking. So it’s either there (coffee shop where I have my loyalty card but I have the loyalty card) or in a pocket or a handbag. Or I’ve thrown it away. Or dropped it.

If I’ve thrown it away the bins got collected today.

I can order a new one. So no sweat. But it’s just annoying. I know full well that the minute I do the order for new one the old one will turn up.

£9 on about a million ice lollies at Iceland. My freezer box arrived today so the dc and I went after work and we went nuts. 7 boxes. Yippeeee!!!

Luckily re the debit card it’s for me “other” account which I mostly use for coffee. So I’m not without access to cash. But still. A faff.

I had my MRI this afternoon. It was very noisy, although they gave me earplugs and headphones so I could listen to music. My GP should have the results in a few days.

It was a gorgeous day here so I met my DSis beforehand and we had coffee and a snack in the botanic gardens. And I had a McDonalds afterwards (they're only doing take away but we ate at a table outside) - I've never been so excited about a McDonalds Grin.

Spends

MRI - €350
McDonalds - €9

DSis paid for the coffee and snack.

Our restrictions are easing very slightly from 12th April. We can travel anywhere within our own county.

Pubs open here on Friday for just drinking. No food. No time limit. Table service only.

Things are on the up.

Our nightingale hospital is going. Not used once so complete waste of £14m but if our gov hadnt spent the money jt would have been needed. Dammed if they do....

We have 5 cases.

Tayto I have my fingers crossed that your results give you answers.

DD & I drove out to our closest McD the other day just because. We sat in the car to eat it and watched the cars go around the round about.

Since we got the big freezer the small one just gets used for leftovers that are packed up for lunch for me when I am in the office. It has not got much use this year.... so I decided to defrost it only to find it has turned into a single large iceblock. It has taken 2 days so far and we are only halfway to defrosted.

lifelongfrugaleer · 31/03/2021 07:30

My little freezer was like that when I did it to pass on. Thought it was also minus temp in January.

Scooter park again today.
£37 Sainsbury's yesterday

And the WiFi is back on!!! Now for my compo claim.

Hope you get answer tatyo

em that's majorly annoying, and sods law it will turn up.
my colleague forgot her purse at work last friday and had to turn around and come back from her grocery shopping to get it, 30 mins round trip. I've got apple pay so wouldn't be stuck if this happened. Just said I'd mention it if anyone hasn't it set up on their phone. It now has my debit card, revolut virtual card & a credit card that I've just cancelled Confused

today will possibly be a NSD.
tayto hope mri results come back quickly and help you get pain free. I didn't hear announcement, that's good news, I live in a large county with lots of beauty spots so this is good news.
wolf hope today's a better day with ds
life hope your ds is feeling a bit better

Fingers crossed for answers Tayto

Pay day, thank god, paid myself first. Need to go and get petrol as the car is literally running on fumes. Need to pay for outside door and carpet this week so it's not going to be a cheap one.

Lovely flowers Happier

Not sure what we are doing today yet need to make sure I'm home at particular points for deliveries and shopping and ds had sport this evening

DH has to have a colonoscopy Confused we are both a bit worried about it. He saw GP on Friday and was referred on the two week cancer pathway as a precaution, he sees the specialist tonight and then colonoscopy probably next Wednesday. Of course it’s much more likely to be an ulcer or something than cancer but it’s scary. I had a breast cancer scare in Nov 2019 and we feel we have had enough stress for the moment!

Going to a friends house for lunch in the garden, will be nice to see people in RL.
Progress scan for IVF on Friday, if it all looks good then I’ll have embryo put back at the end of next week. Planning to take it easy for the next two weeks in any case.

Why did I think today might be a nsd when I brought no lunch Hmm €4.20, because I brought my drink with me.

I sometimes work a few hours on Sat which is 1.5 times normal rate most of it and some is double, looks like I'll need to do a full day this Saturday. Haven't done one of them in about 10 years.

Report
Unescorted · 31/03/2021 14:31

Gen fingers crossed that is something about nothing. The waiting for results is so stressful. And fingers crossed for the IVF goes well.

Happier think of the money.

wolf my paydays are like that. I feel flush for about 30 seconds.

Wolfcub · 31/03/2021 14:55

Gen fingers crossed it's something relatively straightforward for dh and fingers crossed for the scan

£6 Ice creams
£53 diesel
£90 ocAdo shop coming later and my penultimate hello fresh box came this morning. I've bumped the last one of the offer on for a couple of weeks so that it feels like a mental break mid-April

Mortgage person has pointed out I will need new life insurance as the decreasing amount on mine is less than I will need to borrow.

Gen hope it's good news for your scan and DH colonoscopy.

Wolf we've had the first day of ice cream weather today too.
