Tax credits letter re being single

Hi,

I recently changed my tax credits award because I'd changed jobs/income, got the letter yesterday with updated info and payments. All good.
This morning I've received a letter asking me if I'm sure I'm still single. I am sure, there's been no one at all in the last 12 months and before that a casual relationship which was literally a meet up intermittently, once every couple of months, if that. Not even a staying the full night thing. So I'm not worried that if they do investigate, anything will be discovered, because there's nothing to discover.
But, I do rely on this money, especially since having to take a lower paid job (covid put paid to the last one) and I'm concerned they've somehow got their wires crossed, or received some incorrect information and this is the first step in everything stopping and them investigating.
Or do they send these out as a matter of course to anyone who's claimed as single for a while?
Anyone else had one?

They send them out every so often. I seem to get one every 2 or 3 years.
Same for council tax.

Thanks Meglet, I've always been single, the intermittent thing has been the only 'thing' in 15 years since breaking up with DD father. Never had one and never had anything from the council either, regarding the single person discount. Got me a bit worried. Thanks.

I’ve had them before too - just as a matter of course.

Fishing letters, you know you are single so ignore it.
