I have recently bought a PC and am in my free trial period of Microsoft 365 Family, the payment is due to be taken in November. I saw on Amazon Prime Day today an offer on the same package for half the price. Would it be a hassle to cancel the current package from Microsoft and purchase the half price one from amazon?

I use google docs for free. The formatting is almost identical to word/excel etc and it's all saved live so no losing your work

isn't it just a case of not renewing (or not letting it renew) when the free trial runs out? Then activate the Amazon one you've purchased.
