Universal Credit Application Help

I've just applied for universal credit for the first time, but on the application I wasn't asked anything about income. I did state that I'm both employed and self-employed (which I am - I do 20 hours a week employed, and have a regular contract as self-employed for 7 hours a week plus do other self-employed work as and when it comes in), but there was nowhere to fill in any other details about how many hours I work at each or what I'm earning. Is this right? Will I be contacted at a later time for these details?

I don't want to find I've filled anything in wrong!

They don't ask because Uc are automatically notified of your earnings during your monthly assessment period by HMRC, so your Uc payment is based on reported earnings. You will be asked to report your self employed earnings towards the end of your assessment period I think. Your assessment period runs from the day you submit your claim to one month later, then your first payment is seven days after the last day of your assessment period.

I think it asks a question - are you expecting any income in the next month but not exact amounts. I'm trying to remember as I set up a claim for my ds last month.
