Omg Em that is truly horrendous! I love how she still has a veil as is to preserve a modicum of modesty Grin

Lonely I watched your YouTube video, you are so talented and creative! Really impressive. I also enjoyed seeing Erik!

We have done so much today as part of our grand clear out. I am absolutely exhausted and stupidly said I'd make curry tonight. I have got as far as putting rice to soak so far. Had better get on with it if we are going to eat this evening. Nsd. Hooray!

ememem84 · 04/07/2020 20:31

Dress one - not sure it’s subtle enough

Dress 2 - cupcake stand as well so frugal...

Dress three - probably one or a few of us could crochet this....

Ha I wore mine twice size 12 ish. Wedding then blessing next day as grandparents couldn't travel to wedding

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/07/2020 20:57

You could be your own wedding cake in 2. 3 for a winter wedding.

Hmm is it going to be a church do. Need to think of the vicar and pearl clutchers

Happierwithouthim · 04/07/2020 20:57

North happens to all of us, the pressure from her didn't help. Hopefully karma catches up with her Wink

I'd a lovely afternoon, after getting my hair done I went home and made a sandwich and took it and a nectarine down to the beauty spot about 300m from my house and caught up with Mumsnet, then I cleaned my en-suite & took ddog on a 3 mile cliff walk and made basa fillet on a bed of pilau rice & veg kinda of risotto style with a teaspoon of red pesto and mozz melted on top for my dinner before dc came home.

ememem84 · 04/07/2020 21:10

My dress was empire line. Beady bust. A bit booby. But long and floaty. I wore sandals for the ceremony then went barefoot for the rest of it.

I carried purple orchids in my bouquet.

Those are hilarious! 😂

I think this’ll be the first pic I post. Not sure why I went for this, a bit more Princess like than I was thinking and also strapless which I said I wasn’t going to go for... I doubt it’ll fit (I’m petite). It’ll probably either not stay up or I won’t be able to get it over my boobs. But I’m quite looking forward to trying it on Smile

Lovemaltesers · 04/07/2020 21:29

Maybe a knitted one by you guys would make the dress more special!

Wolfcub · 04/07/2020 21:44

We could do a square or section each Love

ememem84 · 04/07/2020 21:52

North* imagine what a miserable bitch that woman must be! Some people are just awful.

Snuggly we had a curry tonight as well!

Love that dress is beautiful 😍

Dress 3 looks like a tampon! 2 would have its uses though - somewhere to rest a drink!
SnugglySnerd · 04/07/2020 22:09

That's a beautiful dress Love

ChristmasSeacow · 04/07/2020 22:16

Love you’d be amazed how much a good seamstress can take a dress in. Seriously, several sizes! Us well-padded brides are advised to buy a dress that actually fits (or near enough) and then have it taken in if weight is lost, rather than buy the aspirational dress and have a disaster 😂. So don’t necessarily discount something that falls down when you let go of it, if you love it. A good seamstress would be able to alter it quite a bit, if you can find one. Mine got taken in at least one dress size but not the three dress sizes I was hoping for

Tomorrow I need to sew some face masks. Off to try and track down the promising-looking pattern I found a few weeks ago. It shouldn’t take me long to search the internet. I have Bowie at Glastonbury for company this evening 😍

Wolfcub · 04/07/2020 22:18

Sea have a look at the REW website for a pattern

ememem84 · 05/07/2020 08:03

Raining here.

Our borders are open now. I heard a plane take off just now. Wary. Very wary of another lockdown.

But if the weather keeps on being rubbish then maybe people won’t want to come.

Can’t remember which one of you wanted to come and visit the island but for info

Beautiful dress. Similar style to mine but more embellished. Definitely altered to fit and I don't recall any movement on the day

It's been blowing an absolute gale here all night I'm slightly surprised I don't have a tree in my roof. We've just had about half an hour of quiet and it's picking up again

iwonttaketheeasyroad · 05/07/2020 08:40

@ememem84 those dresses are hilarious

@love that dress is lovely

I have a click and collect slot at Tesco, other than that planning to go for a run. Have started couch to 5k again , on week 5 and more work on my cv , want it to get it already while the kids are at their dads and I concentrate. Consultation meeting Tuesday .

Taytocrisps · 05/07/2020 08:44

A Stormy night here too. It's not raining right now but the sky doesn't look too promising.

Taytocrisps · 05/07/2020 08:47

Very tasteful wedding dresses em Wink
